Almen Gauge
We supply the
TSP-3B Almen gauge, the best there is, also the TSP-JR (inch or m/m) probably the second best. We also supply the Almen Holder Flatness Gauge
The
TSP-3B Aerospace Inspection Grade Almen Gauge meets all current specifications up to and including SAE J442, AMS 2430 & AMS 2432C. Every gauge is supplied in a sturdy, protective foam lined case with a certificate of calibration.
Patented precision magnetic support balls and foolproof end stops provide hands free,repeatable Almen strip alignment and measurement whilst completely eliminating any possible distortion.
SPC data port is standard on this gauge allowing direct data transfer to your computer via a USB interface device available as an accessory.
TSP-JR Almen Gauge. This is a more industrial gauge and is available with either digital or analogue dial.
It smaller size and lighter weight make it a more convenient gauge for shop floor use.
When supplied with a digital dial the gauge meets the requirement of SAE J442. When supplied with an analogue dial it meets the requirements of MIL-S-13165. The analogue gauge can be specified with either an Imperial or Metric dial. The gauge is supplied in a protective case with appropriate certification.

Fast and easy to use
How do you verify flatness of your Almen holder that is rigidly attached to a fixture? It's easy when you have the special Holder Flatness Gauge. This simple two piece design allows you to verify flatness in almost any orientation. Attach the special frame with the (supplied) screws and traverse the indicator over the surface. The dial indicator is graduated 0.01mm flatness limit of +/- 0.1mm
The screw holes in the frame are designed to verify the accuracy of the holder's screw locations(another nadcap requirement). The frame holes are oblong to recognise the placement and tolerances of the holes in the holder.
This gauge will confirm Almen holder compliance with the flatness requirements of SAE J442 specification.

We supply certified, fully hardened, Almen strip holder blocks with a choice of tapped (M5) or plain holes plus boxes containing 100 M5 screws to suit the tapped blocks.

Almen Strips
We supply Almen strips and Almen blocks (strip holders) meeting all current specifications.
A1-S & N1-S strips meet J442, AMS 2430P & AMS 2432C.
These are sold in boxes containing 1000 strips. Each box contains 20 x 50 piece packets.
A1 &N1 strips meet J442 and are sold as above but also in BULK format. This means that there are 1000 strips contained in a Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor bag inside a sturdy box.
Example:- an average price for the minimum quantity of 5000 A1 strips delivered to your door is £2400.00 ex works (Nov 2016) = 48 pence per strip.
All Almen strips now have a polished finish and are marked with their LOT number.
Magna Valves
We supply the full range of MagnaValves, the ultimate in shot flow control, for both air blast and wheel blast machines available in both 24V and 120V plus FC and AC Controllers.
We can offer on site media flow calibration and arrange for factory repairs including fully certified re-calibration.
NON-Ferrous MagnaValves
Our range of associated products includes.
700-24 NON-FERROUS MAGNAVALVE.
Model 700-24 MagnaValve designed for glass and ceramic bead peening applications but can be used for other media e.g. Aluminium/Oxide.The unit operates on a closed loop system with the standard FC-24 Controller in much the same way as the Industry Standard Ferrous MagnaValve. The Valve will be factory calibrated to suit the customers requirement. The unit is designed to operate with either pressure or suction type air blast systems. Field calibration is possible using the step by step instructions contained in the user manual.
70-24 NON-FERROUS SENSOR.
This sensor monitors the flow of of non-ferrous peening media and when used in conjunction with the FC-24 Controller provides a constant visual digital readout and raises an alarm should the flow deviate from the set point.
Hopper Refill
The Hopper Refill MagnaValve eliminates the need for an air cylinder and lowers maintenance costs.
Hopper Refill MagnaValves are normally-closed magnetic valves typically used to replenish shot hoppers with cast steel shot or cut wire shot. The valve construction includes a permanent magnet for normally-closed operation and an electromagnet to activate shot flow. By applying power to the electromagnet, a full-flow condition may be achieved. When power is off, the valve will hold shot due to the permanent magnet.
The maintenance free Hopper Refill MagnaValve eliminates the need for a high maintenance air cylinder operated dipper/butterfly/n.c. pinch valves.
There are four sizes of valve available in both 110VAC and 24VDC all connected by standard NTP threads.
ShotShape Classifiers
We can supply Shot Shape Classifiers made by Profile Industries U.S.A.
These can be fixed position with fixed cores or on casters and have interchangeable cores e.g. for manually classifying two or more sizes of shot using one classifier by just changing the core to suit the shot size.
Changing cores takes approximately five minutes.
